Today we go to Blackwood Forest in Hampshire for our week away. The last time we had a break was back in June… so we are ready for it.
Before we leave, we have the hot tub engineers round to replace the control box in the hot tub.. I’m not confident with their ability, a lot of staring at the control box, a lot of instruction reading (probably not a bad thing), and a fair amount of time on the phone. They finished after about 2 hours, and when I checked it, there were errors – one to sort out after the holiday.
What that delay did give us was time to finish packing, and tidying and cleaning the house.
The hot tub guys finished and we dropped Poppy off at the kennels – she’s in the small VIP suite again and has doggy day care to keep her engaged. She’s had a little cough (a bit like a duck quack) after she had kennel cough a couple of months ago, so we warned them and that would be fine.
The journey was uneventful, no traffic and we arrived just before 3pm – We booked an early check-in so we could have got in at 2pm.
We’re staying in a Golden Oak Cabin lodge from Forest Holdays, number 30. Here are a couple of other photos of the lodge.
