Well, this is the final full day of our holiday, if you discount the half day tomorrow and the, potential, 9 hours of travel tomorrow afternoon. As seems to be typical, holidays go too fast, and you don’t want to go back to normal life. But we must, but not before we’ve had our final day.
Some packing was done yesterday, and a fair bit more today, but we got our usual spot on the beds after a nice big breakfast. We also ordered our breakfast in the room for tomorrow (Saturday). When I ordered it, we had 6 fried eggs, 5 sausages 6 bacon, etc, but I was told that it was far to much food, so I reduced the numbers ( and as I’m writing this on Saturday morning, I know that I was correct, we should have ordered 6 eggs etc, but there was plenty of food ).
We toasted ourselves in the sun, although, it seemed rather chilly until about 11.20am when the sun finally came over the hotel, and like a scene from a disaster movie, the sun scorched the earth… Well not really but it was definitely a lot hotter when the sun was over the to.
We had lunch about 12.30 and after Adam did the usual and went back to the room to cool done, have a doze, read his book, and Laura and I went and did some more toasting. We came back to the room at 4pm ish, as we wanted to go back to the beach again and take more photos (I had a spec of dirt on my lens, so I wasn’t too happy with the photos.
We had lunch at 6.40 (the restaurant was a little late to open). We realised we hadn’t taken any pictures at dinner, so here’s a snap.)

We went down to the beach after dinner to catch the sun set a little earlier that yesterday. Adam found the cave on the beach and Laura followed… shortly after Adam came out with soaking feet and shoes covered in black sand and then so did Laura… the tide was coming in and they got caught, but it did mean they could go paddling in the sea – I was wearing my trainers and didn’t fancy getting the ruined, but in hindsight, I could have taken them off… oh well.
Here’s a few of the pictures.
Evening Entertainment
After enjoying the sun setting over the horizon, we decided to go back to the evening bar and watch the show. It was a cabaret act, but we couldn’t make out it it was a drag act or not.
Well it was both… 3 girls and 1 drag act. It was pretty good, and rather funny, the type of act you need to make sure you join in for fear of being singled out and made to join in on stage.
After the show we went into the other bar where there was another act playing her guitar and singing along to backing tracks – that was fun too, we had some more drinks, sang along, and went back to the room for bed.
Unfortunately, Laura had a pretty nasty asthma attack in the middle of the night, and couldn’t stop coughing
