What a start to the morning, very strong winds, rain, darkness all around, thunder, lightning – like a scene from the movies. What a storm.

After breakfast, we took a wonder down to the sea to take pictures, pictures that Dad is probably missing from reading the blog… rocks and water… a couple of beach photo’s thrown in for good measure too. You can tell how wet the sand was by how dark it was

We sat outside for a while, but Laura was very tired, and went back to the room. I stayed by the pool and read more of the Ben Hope book, I am getting in to this one.
The weather still isn’t great, very windy, so we had lunch at 12.30ish and afterwards, collected our towels, still a little damp – especially where I’d been sitting on it, and went back to the room. Laura rested more and instead of reading, I decided to finish off the Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+ – I did enjoy it.
I popped to the shop to buy Laura some crisps and bought an ice cream, just a small one though… The sky was so heavy and dark again

We had dinner fairly early, and it was Cypriot night tonight. I had Beef Stifado, some lamb potato dish and salad. There was pudding, but it did include melon. We have noticed that there’s not been any water melon this week, there was loads last week, maybe the “water melon man” is on holiday.
We’re now sitting outside, its a little breezy, but still warm, and we had to ask for cushions for the chairs because they’d all be taken inside in case of rain. Laura has a Peach Schnapps and lemonade, and I’ve got a whiskey and Diet Coke again.
The lady on reception said that the weather is going to be pretty much the same all week, so, weather depending, maybe tomorrow we will get a bus to Protaras, it would be interesting to see the Odessa again. Unfortunately, Limassol is too far to go and see if the Shakespeare is still there.
Sounds like you’re having fun even though its a bit damp! Hope Laura’s feeling better now. We were predicted rain today so it was no surprise when the builders didn’t turn up. However, the sunshine did!! Expect builders’ll be back tomorrow.
