We had decided to go back to Bridport on Thursday and then have a meal in the local pub, the White Horse Inn. So we did 🙂
We trawled all of the charity shops, the music shop (which was rubbish), found a key cutting place that sold Victorinox Swiss Army knives, so I (Neil) bought one to add to my collection, it is the Signature model. We didn’t buy anything else specific though.
In the evening had a very nice meal at the village pub. When asked what drink I wanted, I asked the landlord for his opinion for the best locally brewed ale (Palmers brewery is in Bridport) so he gave me a sampler of a summer light ale; an IPA; a 100 and a 200. The 200 was his preference as he said it was much smoother, although it was 5% proof. He was right, so I had a pint of that (helps to keep the landlord happy too 🙂 )
Laura had Naked chicken with a honey and mustard sauce on a bed of salad. Adam had beef lasagne and I had local lamb curry. We were all very happy with our meals all of them were delicious. For desert we all had home made apple crumble except I had ice cream, Laura had pouring cream and Adam had clotted cream. All served in oversized tea cups.
