Kingsdown is in Deal, in Kent, about 3 miles from Dover…
We had a walk down to the beach today and Adam took his cricket bat and a tennis ball. After a few throws of stones into the sea, Adam and I tried to play cricket, and a very stony beach. It’s not easy I can tell you. Twice Adam managed to get the ball into the sea, not that it mattered that much, the ball was split into pieces by the time we finished.
It’s a nice beach, however stony, and we could see the White Cliffs of Dover, and also Calais (Hi Mum and Dad, we can see you, well at least the country you’re currently in..). Laura took some pictures of the sea and the waves crashing, there may have also been some rock
photos in there too…
We then took a stroll into Kingsdown, there’s a post office, a newsagent, a butchers, a hair salon next to the butchers called prime cuts (very good) and of course there is a pub.
We all (well apart from Alan) went in the pool and had a swim, it was very crowded today with lots of kids and inflatables, by the time Carol, Laura and then I got out, and Adam got out at 4, it was a lot quieter, typical.
It rained again in the evening, but never mind. tomorrow its off to the music shop.. Yay!!!
