Well it was a bit of a wash out today, we had decided to into Bridport and then to the local beach, but it was absolutely tipping it down with rain (not sure what else it would tip it down with in the “summer” – hopefully not snow). We still decided to go and as we climbed out of the valley we’re in, there was a thick fog (There are signs that say liable to frog but we didn’t expect it in August).
We had a wander round the town, rain coats and hats on, but as it’s bank holiday Monday, most of them were shut, including the Music shop and the shop that sells Swiss Army knives. We then had a drive to find the beach but it was too foggy with too much rain so we found the harbour, sat for a short while in the car, and made our way home.
We came back to the cottage and spent the rest of the day either playing games or watching a couple of films.
