The joy of self catering holidays is shopping and the closest big shop was Tesco in Winchester; its only about 8 miles away, so that’s where we went. Adam wanted some new clothes that were more suited to work, so we picked up some smart new tops and a new jacket.
After Tesco’s we popped into Winchester to get a haircut for Adam – We had found a barbers called Chaps online and went in on the off chance – they only did appointments but made an exception.

They were shutting down the town centre at 3.30pm for the annual firework party and display, so we couldn’t stay in town.
We went back to the lodge and had a nice salad for lunch followed by a nice rest. Dinner was a Pasta Bolognese followed by yoghurt, meringue and fresh fruit.
