Day 2 of of our holiday began after I (Neil) had about 10 hours sleep, unheard of these days, Laura slept well too.
The shower has one of these flow restriction heads, which means you have to run around in the shower to get wet even though the water pressure is excellent… I may ask to see if they can change the shower head, still not really a complaint.
Breakfast was excellent, a great selection of cereal, yogurts, fruit, and of course fried eggs, omelettes, sausage, bacon, etc… I had bran flakes – I know – Laura had a selection of cooked things… so I had scrambled eggs, beans, and grilled tomatoes.
Through the window of the restaurant, it looked like every lounger round the pool had towels put on them, joy… looks like it will be early morning towel dash… We were wrong, the pads on the loungers are the same colour as the pool towels, only a few had been reserved, the rest were free.
We got our spot, all comfy by the pool, when a waiter came over and asked us if we wanted a drink… pool side service – more “wow” “fantastic”. We read, we dozed, we relaxed.

There was a cat… Laura’s holiday is complete…
Lunch was a really nice selection again, pizza, chips, salads, cheese, all kinds of things. I had a salad with sweet and sour sesame chicken; Laura had boiled egg, sweet and sour sesame chicken and salad too.
During lunch, the old pair of sandals I brought with me decided that it didn’t like the sole on the right foot anymore and decided it would stay behind…. I only brought 1 pair of sandals, and it’s not that easy to just go and buy a new pair for me. Oh well, I did bring flip flops

Back out to the pool, after a quick change… I realised I put a new pair of shorts on, which I thought were swimming shorts…. except they were not, wasn’t sure if I was going swimming, so had to change. We did more relaxing, then the sun went behind the hotel and it started getting a little nippy, so Laura suggested we moved to the sunny bit. That lasted about an hour before the pool area was completely in shade. I was about 3.30pm at this point so we went back to the room for a snooze before dinner started at 6.30pm.
The theme for this evenings meal was Cypriot Night, where you can expect that type of food. Laura had some pork, and macaroni with halloumi and mint plus some vegetables. I had pork as well, with a vegetable ratatouille, and some veg. There was of course a small selection of items for pudding, and the red wine was very pleasant too.
After dinner we went for a walk along the promenade / boardwalk / beach front walk, which runs from Famagusta to Protaras, there were many more cats, and a lovely full moon reflecting on the sea.

We turned around after about 3/4 of a mile, walked along the main road and found a pharmacy, a couple of bars and restaurants plus a gift shop that also sold snacks… one thing about all inclusive hotels, they don’t seem to have snacks… 1 large pack of Lays (Walkers) Salt & Vinegar later, we headed back.
It’s coming up for 10pm now… time to sign off… until the next time…
