We had a simple journey down, we came down the M20 an Carol/Mum & Alan/Dad left a little earlier and came down the A2 / M2. We hit the traffic just by Folkestone with the lorries stacking to get onto the ferry so we came off and tried to fiddle the Sat Nav to avoid the A20. That didn’t work so we set a point somewhere in the general direction and headed that way and did something really 20th century, we followed some signs… very old fashioned I know.
We arrived at the site with no incidents… well we did, some “motorist” was so close to Dad/Alan’s car on the A258 he took the wing mirror off, and didn’t stop. So we’ll need to find a temporary replacement for the journey back.
The site is very nice, no cars are allowed near the chalets, so they provide trollies to move the luggage from the car park to the accommodation we took one and a bit trips, the bit trip we filled up with food from Alan’s car too. Speaking of Alan’s car, it took four trips empty it… the lady in the chalet opposite asked if we were staying for a month.
I think we have enough food for a month too, I guess the diet is off (again).
