We had a pretty rubbish sleep last night, a herd of elephants must have checked in at 3am and woke Laura up which in turn work me up. It took us a little while to get back to sleep and I woke up with a nasty headache.
Breakfast was good, and for a change, and I mean that, I had egg on beans on toast, it was great, apart from the scolding hot egg that burnt the roof of my mouth…
We got a couple of loungers by the pool, but the wind is up, it’s really blowing and the sea is wild, so wild the red flags 🚩 are out indicating no swimming. The life guard is patrolling, but the shrill of his whistle is getting lost in the sound of the crashing waves.
While laying out today, our last day 😩 Laura was crocheting a blanket and one of the cats, that has been in our room a couple of times now, decided it wanted to have a cuddle on the blanket.

It’s been really windy today, but hot. It reminded us of Lanzarote, so we were well covered in sun cream, others around the pool seemed not to be so well informed, they could have been mistaken for beetroot.
We had a very funny moment today… we were both laying on our fronts this afternoon, making sure we were cooked all the way through. Laura was getting uncomfortable so started to turn over, her weight wasn’t quite distributed over the longer right, so her head went down and her legs went up as the lounger tilted. I was still laying on my front, so I wasn’t exactly quick. But it was ok a Knight in shining swimming shorts stepped up and helped right the lounger and Laura was able to get up. Fortunately the suntan covered up the redness of her embarrassment, but boy did we laugh…
We can’t believe it is our last day, we’ve had such a great, relaxing holiday, the hotel is amazing and the staff have been second to none. From the reception, wait staff, cooks, cleaners, all of them work so hard.
Warning Rocks and Water Pictures Ahead
As it was so windy and the surf was well and truly up, it would be remiss again not to take a million pictures of rocks and water…

It’s probably because I fancy some but the picture of the surf on top of the sand really looks like a nice slice of cake!! Lovely to hear from you both, safe journey home, much love Mum and Dad xxxx
