Today we went to Marina Rubicon which is near Playa Blanca and went to the market. We’d seen the market on Wednesday during the “Blanket Tour” but hadn’t had enough time to have a good look round. We had lunch in a restaurant called “Blue Note” and the resident blues guitarist was playing.
A guy called Johnny the Razor. He was pretty good, and we ended up listening to him until he’d finished at 2pm.
Adam had seen a bag that he’d liked and Mum had also seen a bag on the same stall, so off we went to have a go at bartering. Apparently it’s the custom and is expected. Some will say “Come, I do you a special price”, however the guy on this stall was having none of it. I think we tried for 10 minutes to get a discount, all very friendly and very good humoured. We eventually got a Euro off… He compared me to “Dell Boy”.
Marina Rubicon is a lovely marina (funnily enough) with walk ways over the water where you can see the fish. Lots of restaurants and some very nice and very expensive looking boats and yachts. We also saw a really big cactus with a flower on the top.
There was one restaurant we took a special photo off and that was called “Lady Russ”.
You mean you didn’t go and have a meal at Lady Russ?
