We were running a little late this morning, quick shower, save some beds in the garden and off to breakfast. We’ve been trying to be good, eating fruit, salad, vegetables etc, but last night was crème brûlée, and of course I had a little too much. I must be getting old, I had terrible indigestion at about 1.30am… so today will be bran flakes and peppermint tea for breakfast (for me anyway, Laura had tomatoes, beans, scrambled egg and mushrooms) salad for lunch and then we’ll see about dinner… also going to lay off the alcohol today too…
Right off to read and lay in the sun. More updates later.

We laid out in the garden again, the spot was close to the bar, which was handy. We stuck to soft drinks during the day, and had a light lunch.. Todays cuisine in the evening is Italian (hence the name of this entry, in case you hadn’t worked it out), so I am expecting Lasagne and Pizza at the very least.

We went for a little walk before dinner, down to the pharmacy and the small shops along the street at the top. I assumed there would be a shaver socket in the room to recharge my razor, but unfortunately not. I bought an adapter the other day, but it was the wrong type, so I was looking again. No joy. We did pick up a few gifts plus a couple of fridge magnets of course.
Dinner Time
Wouldn’t you know it, there was Lasagne, Pizza, spaghetti, all the Italian dishes I could think of… So I had a minestrone soup for starter – it was more like a base to Diet Coke chicken, chunky veg – nice soup. Then I had, no prizes, Lasagne, a slice of pizza and 3 meatballs – plus some salad too. Laura had a nice looking mushroom, cream, and champagne risotto with some chicken thing, plus salad. There were quite a few nutty deserts, so my choice was limited. A glass of red wine and an orange juice for Laura.

We’re sat outside on the veranda now, Laura is crocheting while I update the blog – The news just came in that Robbie Coltrane has just died, sad news. We’ll Lauras orange juice and my whiskey and “DIET COKE” has turned up. I’m off now to finish the 3rd book in Richard Osman’s “Thursday Murder Club’ series.
Oh there is a cat tonight too

Can’t believe its been nearly a week already… This time last week we were being deafened at Laura’s 50th Birthday Party…
