Shortly after posting the blog last night, Laura and I were enjoying a drink on the veranda, enjoying the cooling night air by the ocean when disaster struck… I managed to knock my iPad off the table, it landed on a corner then on to Laura’s foot. The bruise is coming out now and that will heal, no broken bones (hopefully) but for the iPad…

There are cracks, and a dented corner, but I’m not sure if it’s the screen protector that has cracked or the screen underneath, I don’t want to know, so I’ll leave the screen protector on until we get home.
Laura has a scratchy throat, it started yesterday, so we’ll see about getting some throat soothers later today.
We didn’t brave the swimming pool today, the people that did should have been carted off to the local hospital suffering from hypothermia. 🥶. We did lay out on the sun beds, but it was quite breezy today, so after lunch we went back to the room for a snooze.
I finished my book yesterday, Richard Osman’s Thursday Murder Club, I started book 2 of the series today and am already half way through… There seems to be a problem with the kindles in Cyprus, we’ve not managed to download any of the new books Laura has bought. It works fine on the iPad and iPhone, just not on the kindle. I even installed a VPN on my phone, tethered the Kindle to it, but still no joy.
Took a couple of photos today, a lovely bird of paradise flower, and a sky that looked that Bob Ross painted.

We’re on the veranda again tonight, drinking red wine, writing the blog, playing with the kitten if it comes round and reading.
It’s so nice here, the hotel is great, the food is amazing, the service is first class, the staff are fantastic. We overheard a lady saying that it was too quiet in the hotel, and was expecting something else, and they were having to go out to Protaras for the evening entertainment. The hotel is everything we expected, and everything the website said it was.
Signing off now, off to read more of book 2 of the Thursday Murder Club.
