It’s only a 170mile journey to Litton Cheney, which sits brtween Dorchester and Bridport, but it took us 5 hours, without stopping, due to traffic. We used the Sat Nav to navigate around the traffic and got to see some very nice scenery. At one point a muntjac deer jumped out of the hedgerow, across the road and into the next field. Fortunately we didn’t have to break sharply.
We arrived at the cottage at aroun 4.20pm, unloaded the car and had a quick look around. It’s a lovely cottage with a separate utility room (not attached) with a washing machine, tumble dryer and butler sink. It has a separate enclosed garden, which again isn’t attached, but is only for this cottage. .
Once we had a good look, it was back in the car, and off to Morrisons to get the shopping, it wasn’t too far away, about 5 miles, it’s a really claustrophobic shop, narrow isles, and lots of rude people. We bought enough food to last a few days and headed back. We had to be back in time for the new series of Doctor Who ☺
The cottage we are in is called Malters Cottage.
